2. Failure mechanism that should be considered during the selection of the

As we know that armour material will be used where there will be impact loading
situation, we have to focus on relationship between microstructure parameters and
strength properties of material.
As we know that controlling of hard material occur normally due to state of interfaces
& process that take place on micro level, hence the best way of inspecting the
composition of failure is local auger electron spectroscopy.
In this process we have to inspect the effect of heat treatment on the failure
mechanism of armour materials.
