Employee engagement surveys are valuable tools for health care organizations. These surveys provide insights on how employees truly feel about their organization, leaders, and workplace environment. Administrators must learn how to interpret data from these surveys and respond accordingly. For this Assignment, you examine results of an employee survey and consider how you might respond if you were managing the organization.

To prepare for this Assignment:

  • Review the “Metro Dental Services Employee Engagement Survey” and “Survey Interpretation” in this week’s Learning Resources.
  • Examine the results from the employee survey.
    • What is the data saying about the health of the organization?
    • How might you celebrate high engagement scores and improve low engagement scores?

The Assignment

In a 3 page paper, address the following:

  • Analyze the health of the organization in the scenario. Be sure to identify areas of strength and areas that need improvement according to the employee engagement survey.
  • Develop a plan to improve low engagement scores and celebrate high engagement scores.

The Employee Engagement Survey conducted in Metro Dental Services Organisation, surveyed a total of 112 respondents, out of which majority of employees (68%) responded favorably, 26.2% responded unfavorably and 5.8% responded with No clear reply or N/A responses.
The organisation earned the most favorable score i.e. greater than 70, in working conditions, quality, empowerment, team work, identification and work demands. It indicates very high morale and engagement and must be cele
ated. These are the areas of strengths for the company.
The Organisation reflected greater than 60 score in the category of Supervision and Communication. It shows there is good communication and supervision between the employees of the company. It is a healthy workplace. These are also the areas of strength for the company.
The survey showed a score between 50 and 60, in providing advancement opportunities to its employees, recognition, participation and management. These fields require evaluation and study as it shows the possibility of developing certain issues in these categories. Emphasis must be given to employee participation, recognition and increasing the advancement opportunities for them.
