    Assisted living facility is a housing facility for the elderly or infirm people, who need regular medical care as well as assistance in their daily activities. Residents living in assisted living facility have various emotional and physical needs. As suggested by Kuluski, Ho, Kaur Hans and Nelson (2017), elderly people living in assisted facility go through many kinds of emotions as they live away from the family.
They need love, care and support of the su
ounding people. Most of the people living in facility are above 70 years of age. There are times when these people need support in their grieving. Grief comes with the loss of close ones such as spouse or children or friends. Remembering loved ones often develops sadness or anger in these people, which needs to be addressed. It is important to give company to the residents mainly when they are going through rough phase. Their emotional needs are required to be addressed and they need to be in supportive company.
