Here is the basic difference in terms of protocols between OSI and TCP/IP Model. These two are the most
usable model used in computer networking or we can say that the common one. However, apart from that
there are many others to achieve the objective according to the business need and their communication
facets.
The Transmission Control Protocol/Internet protocol model consists of four layer unlike OSI model
which has detailed implementation of network operations. It is used in internet architecture and provide
ules over a network to direct all forms of transmission. Both model created at same time but not same,
however influenced by model as you can see in the figure model difference is only at upper layer and the
lower layer of the architecture. Over the network to communicate TCP/IP model provide the routing,
formatting, addressing, transmitting and receiving according to the operations by the network. There are
many different structure in communication network. Custom protocols by the vender to provide
customize functionality and variety of services over the network in small and big business.
TCP/IP in Client Server Model
TCP/IP has two major categories: Client and Server. However, at application layer multi-tasking
capability are fully accommodated. For synchronization properly, it is necessary that version of the both
the software should same so that they can be communicate in proper manner. We can have the example of
web
owser to understand this communication model. Client server is request response model in
synchronization manner to accommodate all of the process which is happening over network could be
done properly.
2. Give a
ief description of any other network model that exists or has been in existence besides the OSI
model and TCP/IP protocol suite? Remember to cite all sources used.
Network models are existing beside TCP/IP which take care...
