The following are the inputs from the office of CEO of the Patton-Fuller Community Hospital who has 
been asked by the office of United States of America regarding the perspectives on the three key health 
care issues as below.
1) Health insurance coverage 
The current US government health insurance strategies are oriented towards social outlook more 
than business. In the near future, an expected 30 million fresh Americans are going to come in 
the system and that will put the existing infrastructure as also the strategic think tank into severe 
pressure. As per the details from the Affordable Care Act (IRS Website, 2010), it is estimated that 
around 30 million citizens will have to be brought into the insurance cover by 2014. Effective year 
2014, most of them will be having a minimum health insurance cover through a government 
sponsored scheme named ESI (employer sponsored insurance) offered through open market.
Time has come to re-focus the model as being practiced by US government on the primary-care 
level and specialized-care level. Given the infusion of numbers or volume into the system with 
more or less the same budget influx, the economics through price paid per unit head will go 
down. This will lead to an enormous pressure on the exchequer unless this is looked upon from 
now from business angle.  
Like business where we need to think focus on margins rather than revenues, in the same 
way Government has to start looking at the spends rather than just bulk numbers. Things 
like Average Health Insurance Cover per Unit (AHICPU) should become focus. Technology 
should be utilised in its true form, i.e., to act as a powerful tool in healthcare industry. 
Issues like Six Sigma, standardization of processes across regions in healthcare should
