  2. Apply comprehensive assessment and evidence based clinical reasoning in theory, clinical and simulated environments;
  3. Demonstrate the capacity to integrate and relate principles of ethical and legal practice to person centred care;
  4. Apply reflective practice and professional communication strategies to facilitate the delivery of safe, quality care to people in clinical settings; and
  5. Consolidate knowledge and understanding of health professions roles and responsibilities when caring for people in the relevant clinical setting.

The assignment is aimed at allowing you to understand how to plan a project from a nursing perspective and will assist you in understanding how Continual Professional Development (CPD) is approached by the RN in a professional practice context.

Aim
    Communication is a dynamic and complex process, which occurs between the individuals creating their circle. As mentioned by Rogers (2015), communication can be defined as an interaction between the two people, in which they exchange their thoughts or views or express their needs. ence of communication issues between nurse and patient can increase the difficulty of nurse in providing quality treatment to the patients. The aim of this research is to analyze the impact of the communication issues on nursing practice.
Rational
    Communication is an important part of all the professional practices and is a significant aspect of the nursing profession. It is necessary to understand the importance of communication in nursing profession, as failure of communication can lead to the development of care-related issues in the practice. In nursing profession, nurses communicate with patients, their families, fellow colleagues, doctors and inter-departmental professionals on daily basis. As suggested by Fakhr-Movahedi, Rahnavard, Salsali and Negarandeh (2016), communication between patient and nurse helps in the development of therapeutic relationship between them. According to the NMBA standards, registered nurses must engaged in therapeutic and professional relationships (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, 2019).
This leads to the development of trust of the patient towards the nurse and the treatment provided to them. The nurses, who fail to use good communication with their patient, can increase their doubt towards the treatment. Communication issues between patients and nurses can lead to miscommunication whose outcome can be poor quality of treatment of the patient.
