Based on the requirement of the Scenario Problem, please review 5 existing apparel website. Then summarize 5 most typical pages of an apparel website, noticing what dynamic development language each of these website used ( PHP, ASP, Coldfusion, JSP etc..., normally they are PHP page, refer to the “introduction to dynamic web development” )
a. Find and review 5 online fashion store eCommerce websites. These websites must have the ability to sell clothes online.
b. You must have each of the 5 sites web address. You must have the 5 typical pages’ screenshots of the 5 websites, namely: welcome page, catalogue page, product detail page, and shopping bag/cart page.
c. Identify and take screenshots of the five typical pages you identified in studying these 5 websites.
Note: This will be the evidence that you are reviewed the 5 websites and identified the 5 common pages of an apparel website.
d. Identify the advantages of PHP over other dynamic programming language; and the principles of open platform programming (the major advantage over closed platform programming)

Part B - Assignment – Practical (30 Marks)
Assessment description
This section is dedicated to client-side scripting skill (namely JavaScript). Please complete the following practical tasks in your lab web development environment:

Use JavaScript design a contact form validation and a survey page for service feedback that is compatible with design style that you developed in Part A (i.e. the HTML/CSS mock-up).The following JavaScript task will cover and provide the evidence of your knowledge and the using of:
events and event handlers
internet operation related to servers and clients
internet protocols
standard generalised markup language (SGML)
associated standards
However please very
iefly explain them as the concepts of JavaScript programming. Please limit to 250 words, your mark will be calculated on how concisely you can describe these concept clearly, as the evidence of your understanding.

Survey page needs to calculate the average rating given by the client; then prompting different message according to the rating result. For a more strict form condition, you can optionally validate the fields that the input is a number, and it is between 1~5.
Registration form needs to have the basic information of the client. All form field are to be validated, except if the selection type form elements already has a default selection. Email needs to be validated as an acceptable email address in terms of the format. All messages are to be properly prompted if certain field failed the validation, then immediately afterwards, the field in question needs to be in focus with the cursor blinking inside it and waiting for the new input.

Sign off page is one page document, showing the client and the design company’s details, and the confirmation signatures by the relevant parts for the design and delivery of the project, etc.
Please find a royalty free sign-off paper template from online (there are many of such template online); then based on these template, make a one page sign off page for the project of assessment 2.

Note:
A sample project will be demonstrated to you during class time. It will not be included in here in the document, as the sample will be changed from time to time. The sample maybe an online existing website, or it can be a student’s finished project demonstrated by that student, or it can be one of the sample class exercises.
Submission Guide:
· You must submit this assessment document of course, with your student details and relevant information filled properly.
· For Part A, you submit 3 Microsoft Word files, one for each tasks in Part A, and put these 3 files in a folder call Part A
· For Part B, you submit all the files for the website with both registration page and survey page validated by JavaScript.
· For Part C, you submit 3 Microsoft Word files, one for each tasks in Part C, and put these 3 files in a folder call Part C
· Student must submit by sending the assessment in a zip (not rar) compressed format by the due date, by sending it to the submission email. (Email address is provided inside eLearning of each subject. Note: important! Assessment submission email address is not trainers’ staff email address)
Appendix: Case Study
Note: the case is the same case or the continuation of the case of Web Design and Development of Certificate IV. The major difference is that the website is no longer static information presentation type of website. It will be PHP/MySQL dynamic website, so that there is shopping function. The former static website can be considered in an analogy with its physical world counterpart – a hardcopy catalogue
ochure. It is in the category of eMarketing. Whereas a dynamic website will be eCommerce, by which the client will be able to sell their product directly from online. For this project, the Web Design Company is to demonstrate more professional methods in project documentation and debugging/testing in project commencing.
Case Introduction:
Fashionwave is a small company of designed apparels.
The company are constructed by 20 middle aged women who design and produce the clothes for women and men. They would like to have their own website, so there will be this company’s online identity and information exposure online. This is the first stage of their online plan. They will eventually have a full-fledged eCommerce website, which will allow them to be able to sell their clothes directly from online.
For the time being, the company's owner decided that the project will be just categorised into just men and women two simple categories. Each category will have at least 8 most cu
ent products in it for a start. Namely, 8 men's clothes in men category, and 8 women's clothes in women category. The website will have 5 pages. Homepage, Category, Service Policy, About Us, Contact. The Homepage will have welcome information, and some highlights of company cu
