Your task is to produce a report & presentations on how to turn your group of student graduate trainees into a highly functional team.This assignment requires you to do research. Your task is to draw on Organisational Behaviour theory and use it to critically analyse your team and make recommendations to improve its performance with respect to the internship project (see scenario).
You need to: • Analyse your team composition, i.e. each member’s tasks and roles.• Identify three potential Organisation Behaviour issues affecting team performance with respect to the graduate training programs (choose 3 topics related with the course).• Recommend how you would address each issue Your report should have the following sections: Table of contents1. Introduction. State the topic of the report, what you will be arguing, and how you have structured the report. 2. Analyse your team composition. Describe the individual members and their interrelationships. For instance, consider attributes of individual team members, member diversity, team size, etc. Explain and clarify using concrete examples. Recommendations to address the issues stated in Section 3:
1. Issue of Unclear Goals: To remove the Ambiguity of goals in a team following steps should be taken:
(a). Clearly Define the Goals: Before the start of any project, senior level of management should clearly define the goals of the project to all the members of the team. After the goals are defined management should also keep a Query session with the members to resolve any query that they may have regarding the project. Some of the Questions that should be answered are:
(i). Why? Why has the Organization undertaken this project?
(ii). What? What are the methods by which this project will be solved?
(iii). Who? Who all the involved in the project?
(iv). How? How will the success of the project have measured?
(b). Establish a proper chain of Communication: An effective communication system is necessary to keep track of the project. Communication system also helps to define the chain of command. Effective communication system also helps in creating Accountability.
(c). Clearly Define Roles of Team Members: Once the goals are defined and system of communication is established, it is important to define the roles of each team member along with the acceptable solution and a deadline within which the work should be completed by each member of the team.
These steps should be taken before the start of the project so that the project can be completed Effectively and Efficiently within the given Deadline.
