In the higher education literature, team - work evaluation has been the subject of much research and controversy. Its rise in importance in recent years is partly due to the industry's increased emphasis on skills, employment, and life - long learning. However, it is frequently implemented in haste, is unsupported, and is evaluated without fully considering the ramifications.
Although there is still a considerable demand for skilled group workers, accessibility of this modalities in social work as well as other mental health programmes has been slowly declining over time. In the education of new generations of professionals in all helping professions, personal methods to intervention prevail. Similar issues arise during students' field training. Field supervisors frequently lack the experience with group work or proper preparation. As a result, they need to provide adequate and skilled supervision of the modality, or, more importantly, opportunities for students to participate in it (Toseland and Rivas, 2017).
As we read through the chapters, we have notice that there are abilities that emerge from the entire forest that can help practitioners both when intervening in the group and when acting on behalf of the participants. Although no single talent can ensure that it will work with all groups all of the time, these skills are sufficiently
oad to apply to the majority of situations (Grief and Knight, 2016).
The problem is the awareness of the culture, A fundamental talent that is underlined all through this book is the ability to appreciate and transmit respect for members' differences, whether they are in the categories of color, class, ethnicity, sexual preference, age, immigrant status, and/or (dis)abilities. The disparities between the membership and the leader are also included.
