Methodology and its Role in Project Management
The term Methodology is completely distinguishing series of sensible associated operations, techniques or strategies designed to help project manager to finish their project task. The methodology provides guidance or help throughout the project, helps the team members or manager to follow steps and show points to fulfil from beginning to end of project.
It is a deductively demonstrated, efficient and well-mannered way to deal with project plan, project processing and finishing. There are different approaches such as top down or bottom up approach to project management for methodology. In other words, A methodology is a framework in which managers work for planning, developing, testing and maintaining of their project aims.
The main aim of methodology is to maximize the efficiency of work by allocating resources wisely and make proper plan for which task is to start first. There are different types of methodologies such as waterfall, spiral, agile, prototype etc. which are used in the project but choice of methodology for project depends upon requirement. The choice of methodologies in project aid to describe the project scope, project deadlines, assets are accessible and actual deadline of task deliverables or project completion.
