Everyone needs to live a hygienic life to avoid getting sick but when it comes to children it should be the foremost priority of parents to teach their kids how to maintain personal hygiene. Maintaining hygiene is important for mental health also. Good health and hygiene mean keeping all the parts of the body neat and clean in order to avoid serious disease and infection.
Food Hygiene for Children
· Awareness regarding the germs and bacteria and their effects on the human body.
· Responsibility of parents to develop good habits amongst children for prevention.
· Maintaining hygiene while making or serving food to the children
· Motivate the children not to eat unhealthy foods to avoid falling sick.
It is extremely important for children to understand why bacteria and germs are dangerous for health and how they affect the human body so that the children try to avoid unhealthy foods. Besides, parents need to teach their children to develop some good habits to prevent diseases. And while making and serving food to the children parents should keep hygiene (Muinde & Kuria, 2005).
