Needs assessments are crucial inprogram design, implementation and evaluation in public health, as they form the foundation for the evidence-based approach required to design and evaluaterelevant, credible and contextually appropriate programs.

In this assessment, each individual in the group will need to perform a needs assessment associated with your group’s chosen health challenge/target population. To generate a comprehensive understanding of the community need, the group discussion should inform the different areas that each student will focus on under a particular public health theme. Each individual will submit a 1,000 word (+/–10%) needs assessment report.

Introduction
Healthcare sector is growing and developing day by day with technological and improved versions and adopting as well as coping up with such technical matters has now become a major challenge for each and every healthcare professional. This report papers would reflect on the Aboriginal populations in Australia where the people are suffering from insufficient and inappropriate healthcare facilities due to their lower income and as a result mortality rate is quite high in such areas. Through a needs assessment, the deprived section would come into the spotlight and therefore action in this regard should be taken speedily.
Background and Prioritization of the Needs

Therefore, this way they remained deprived from several years and are kept isolated from the privileged section. As of poor educational facilities which lead to unemployment among the population, poverty becomes their part and parcel of life. These Aboriginal people main occupation therefore, is farming and harvesting from which they earn a very minimum amount of money and unable to give proper nutritional food to their family member. As a result, these population suffers from high rate of nutritional disorders and obesity, high rate of consuming alcohol and tobacco usage, teen pregnancy and many more. As they do not have any proper education, they are not aware of the fact of the dangerous side effects of these substance use and how to get cured from such diseases (Kurtz et al. 2018).

(2018), Indigenous Australians are more likely to abstain from drinking alcohol than other Australians and more specially they drink in a great proportion and engage themselves in risky drinking. As it is clear from the evidence that these drinking patterns have a historical root and often reflect on the ongoing experience of dispossession, disadvantage, marginalisation, frustration, racism, grief, trauma and many more. As a result, these people get admitted in hospital eight...
