You do not need to write an introduction or conclusion. You must justify your comments using textbooks and peer reviewed literature on quantitative research design. You will need to include references. We need to see you can search the literature effectively to find references to support your arguments.

You need to make sure thatyou do not simply summarise the paper, but critique the researchaccording to the given criteria.

Reference lists are not included in the word count.

    Journal and Authors

  • Was the paper published in a peer reviewed journal?

  • Who were the authors? Did they have the appropriate expertise and backgrounds

to conduct the study? Could this have predisposed to a bias of any kind? If so was this recognised?

Title clarity and representativeness and abstract

  • Is the title appropriate?

  • Did the author make the research question and the research method clear?

    Literature review

  • Was the literature review comprehensive? You may need to conduct a quick literature search to evaluate this.

  • Did the author justify the need for the research i.e. did the paper add to the existing knowledge by filling an identified gap?

    Methods

Were the methods rigorous and appropriate to answer the research question? In particular the:

  • study setting, recruitment, selection and sample size;

    Journal and Authors
This paper was published in a peer-reviewed journal named Australian health review in the year 2021.
There were all 13 authors of this study and all of them had the expertise to conduct the research. In addition, there were research fellows included in this study and the assistant director of nursing, executive director, palliative medicine consultant, medical officer, occupational therapist and associate professor.
These authors were chosen from diverse backgrounds with the proper expertise to contribute significantly to the research. Hence, conducting the study was an appropriate thing that could have been done by them. That is why there cannot be any predisposed bias. However, that did not require recognition as the study has been conducted in the greatest possible objective manner free from possible subjective biases.
    Title Clarity, Representativeness and Abstract
The title of the study has been chosen properly where the psychological impact of the Covid 19 pandemic has been portrayed through this study by analysing different aspects of psychology like anxiety, stress and depression that have been caused among the participants who are the clinical staff.
The authors have tried to identify the psychological impact of the epidemic on the clinical staff of Australia through studying their level of anxiety, depression and stress, which has been made clear through the research question and the research objective. The research method was a cross-sectional survey, which has been ca
ied out online and the data analysis has been done through SPSS (Holton et al. 2020). A clear description of the tests, which have been conducted, are mentioned in the paper. T-test and regression analysis of the responses have been done to determine the result and analysis based on that.
The abstract of this study has mentioned this research's objective and pointed out the method of fulfilling the research objective. Along with that, the results have been discussed in the
ief and based on that, the conclusions have been made. Therefore, this abstract was precise and concisely, the whole point of view of the authors and the research paper was clear to the point and that was sufficient. However, the background was not discussed properly in the abstract to make the audience understand what this research is being ca
ied out.
    Literature Review
The literature review has successfully addressed the possible source and origin of the out
eak and the possible services provided to health practitioners during the pandemic. It has well covered the importance of studying the emotional impact of the health service staff, which was supposedly higher in comparison to any other individuals in the country (Wu & Wei, 2020). Previously studies have been ca
ied out among midwives where high psychological distress has been observed due to this pandemic. The research gap has been identified where no significant study has been ca
ied out, particularly in this regard in Australia and based on that and the cu
ent research objectives have been set.
Before this study, there is no available data, which can...
