The objective of this task is to not only explore various health issues, vulnerabilities, and inequities
for populations with differing cultural needs, but also to reflect on your own learning and cultural
awareness as a future healthcare provider.

Structure and Format:
Due as a Word Document submitted via the assignment submission link on Moodle. Students are
equired to engage with the online form to create this assessment. Textboxes are autogenerated for

Introduction and general outline
    Culture plays a very important role in the standard of living and wellbeing of individuals and health. It is very important to discuss the health and regular wellbeing of the Aboriginals and To
es Strait Islanders (ATSI) in Australia as the number of people getting proper health check-ups is low in comparison to the rest of the population of Australia. The indigenous community is the marginal community in Australia with less opportunity to avail than the modern method of medical and healthcare facilities. Also, most of them do not have any medical insurance that can sustain them with the healthcare facilities. Therefore, different NGOs and other organizations take the initiative to promote healthcare benefits for the ATSI community as they do not have proper access to medical facilities. At the same time, the communities have reduced the rate for education that has caused them more trouble. The report will analyse the impact, obstacles, and effects of past exploitations of health and wellness of the ATSI community.

ent situation of the indigenous population is not very evident and compared to the other population of Australia it is very primitive and unethical. The aboriginal and To
es strait islander communities are one of the oldest indigenous populations of Australia and since that time they have been colonized by other people of other parts of the world they have become marginalised in their own country. But the situation has not changed even today and that is why we aboriginal communities face certain challenges that have created a gap in health outcomes in Australia (Butler et al., 2019). Compared to the other population of Australia, the indigenous community is running 11 years lower and that is why the inequalities are not even comparable. Most of the indigenous communities live in remote and rural parts of Australia and that is why it is very difficult for the government to reach out to them for medical aid and supplies.
From various researches and different parameters of comparison, it has been understood that the health statistics of aboriginal and To
es strait islander communities are quite different because the socio-economic status of the community is very low than the rest of the Australian population. Since the time they have been Marshal lives their economic condition did not grow and they prefer to separate themselves and leaves in their communities to be detached from the rest of the population of the country (Calma, Dudgeon & Bray 2017).
