Due to being a nurse or a healthcare professional, our main objective lies in providing the best care to the patients by uplifting their mental strength by the means of therapeutic relationship and through active communication skills and positive gestures, which help them, feel more positive towards life. As a staff nurse, being associated with the healthcare sector, I have dealt with a wide variety of experiences, which have led to my personality transformation, and have made me a better individual, overall.
There have been various ideas and decision making regarding the same, which have also challenged my personal values or assumptions. For instance, there have been times where I have faced moral conflict between the using of care-based ethics and right-based ethics towards the patients, if they are demanding to keep anything secret during the therapeutic relationship that might ultimately harm them. Hence, a proper idea of what to be done regarding the same can be explained by ethical principles as supported by Candilis (2016).
