1.1 Topic Introduction
There are many discussions about cloud computing and often many people are 
confused about what actually cloud computing is.  In a basic form cloud computing is 
a highly scalable computing resources which are provided by cloud service provider 
as a service over Internet. The main attraction of cloud computing is that the customer 
needs to pay only for the amount of service used, thus he have the option to pay as per 
his requirement and use. The other attraction of cloud computing is that the customer 
do not have to worry about the maintenance of the cloud. The maintenance of the 
cloud is taken care by the cloud service provider.
Cloud computing conveniently allows its users to get access to fully featured 
applications. It provides the cloud computing users access to software development 
environments over which software development can be done. Cloud computing also 
provides access to computing resources and infrastructure assets such as storage and 
processing, which can be accessed over the cloud. The ultimate strengths and 
weaknesses of cloud computing are yet to be discovered as it is still in development 
stage.
Different cloud configurations and cloud computing technologies may be suitable for 
different organizations depending upon their needs and requirements. An organization 
should consider some parameters in order to better understand which technology is 
more suitable for company requirements. These parameters are services provided by 
the cloud, deployment of cloud, economic opportunities, performance, reliability, 
security provided by the cloud, risks associated with the cloud and typical terms of 
use.
1.2 Research Problem 
The research is being made on the adoption of cloud computing by small 
organizations. The cloud computing has been in market from decades but was never 
able to get large attention form companies. It had a very small fraction of the industry. 
But now the time of cloud computing has come: over a past few year it has gained lot 
popularity. Businesses and consumers, from social networking to email and photo 
editing to mature sales force management, have embraced a multitude of cloud 
services. Time and money saving benefits of cloud computing makes it fit for small 
organizations. But before implementing cloud computing in a small organization it is 
important to identify different approaches to cloud computing that may be 
fundamentally different form each other.
1.3 Purpose of the Research.
