Introduction
    In nursing profession, caring for others is part of the job. Apart from the profession, at some point, all the people take care of someone else. They take care either of the family members, especially elder person or someone close like friends. People also do voluntary care to the people living in care homes. Caring others is a learning opportunity, which helps people to develop skills such as empathy and communication skills. It also develops the skill in person to understand the needs of others. Caring of the patient in nursing profession is their prime duties. The quality of care in necessary for the improvement of the condition of the patient and for increasing of the effectiveness of the treatment.
Description of the event
    It was about the last year when my grandmother, 85 years’ old, starts showing the early symptoms of the dementia. I took her to the hospital where doctors told me she had no major health issues, all the signs and symptoms she is showing are due to old age. Medication may not have any major impact on her body. Thus, he wrote some vitamins for my grandmother and he asked us to take care of her. Two months after visiting the hospital, she had suffered from the viral fever. This fever become the turning point in her and our life. Before fever, she was able to walk and complete her daily routine at her own despite facing issues like memory loss or failure in recognition of family members at some instance.
    She suffered for one week in viral fever, and suddenly one day she was pale and she seems lifeless. Her legs were unable to move and she completely become dependent. Looking at her face, I recall my childhood memory of her where a strong woman single-handedly cooked meal for a huge joint family with a smile on her face. This courageous woman still tried to do work at her own but failed due to her weakness. I started taking care of her at my own. I help her in bathing and taking her to toilet.
