Sample of post:When a shadda is used, it stresses on the letter making it sound like the letter is written twice. In the exercise, words with a shadda had more emphasis on them as opposed to words without. Long vowels are just a stretched-out pronunciation of the short vowels. Both make the letter seem like it is being repeated however, the shadda makes it so that the letter does not sound the same both times, that is why there is more emphasis on it.
