late. Jordan reports he has gained nine kilos since his 30th birthday, and his waist
measurement has expanded. He laughs this off as “middle-aged spread” and says his wife
tells him he needs to watch what he eats and drink less alcohol. Jordan works as a software
engineer, which he has been finding very stressful of late, and spends a lot of his time in the
office sitting in front of a computer, snacking on his favourite salt and vinegar chips. Jordan
and his wife are keen to start a family but have not yet been successful in conceiving.
On the advice of his doctor, Jordan has been taking Aspirin in the evenings for the past 18
months to lower his risk of heart attack.

Jordan and his wife are keen to start a family but are unable to do so. The main reason can be the low level of Testosterone hormone in his blood, which shows 154 ng/dl, whereas the normal level is 300 ng/dl in adult male. As mentioned by Salazar et al. (2018), obesity lays impacts on the reproduction system of adults as it creates a pressure on the Leydig cells, which produces the sex hormone in male.
Being obese, Jordan has gained 9 kg of weight in the past 10 years due to his unhealthy eating habit. On the other hand, his blood report also shows a low level of Gonadotrophin-releasing hormone, which is responsible for the production of the follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinising hormone from the anterior pituitary gland. As stated by Lainez and Coss (2019), obesity is the main reason of neuroinflammation and affects the Gonadotrophin releasing neurons of the body.
The release of the hormone is hence reduced, which does not allow the successful conceiving in reproduction. The major reason of being unsuccessful in starting a family seems to be the problem of obesity in Jordan, which is giving rise to the several other problems in his body. The homeostasis is maintained by the reproductive system by maintaining the temperature of the testes to protect the Leydig cells.
The testis produces the testosterone hormone, which is mainly responsible for the reproduction process in male. According to Karna et al. (2020), the endoplasmic reticulum responds to stress through the male reproductive system when the homeostasis is not maintained. Through homeostasis, the pH of the sexual part is maintained, which creates a supportive environment for the cells to survive.
Further investigation can be done regarding the production of the follicle stimulating hormone level and the luteinising hormone level in the blood of Jordan. The survival time and rate of the Leydig cells can also be examined to understand the further issue with Jordan. With the primary blood reports, it is clear that the main reason why Jordan is unable to start a family is his obesity, which is giving rise to several pharmacological issues in the body.

The urine analysis of Jordan shows an abnormal value of glucose in the urine. The urine ++ indicates that the blood sugar is being excreted through the kidneys as it is highly present in the blood. As suggested by Kramer et al.
