The efficiency of employees is highly dependent on the type of leadership they are placed under. Leaders have the ability to
ing out the best from their subordinates and hence workgroups need to have a reliable leader who can produce the best results, both for the organization as well as the employees.
The two leaders assigned to the workgroups follow two different leadership styles, namely transactional and transformational. Both the leadership styles have pros and cons and it largely depends on the leader how they use their style.
Rachel, for example, is using Transactional leadership style that relies on rewarding and punishing employees in order to encourage them to do their best. This leadership style has many positive aspects like it encourages healthy competition among employees. This motivates them to do their best.
