Issue: Nurse staffing and inpatient mortality.
Region: North America.
Background:
We are very much aware of the critical health care status in the region due to less nursing staffs and existing nurses leaving their jobs due to dissatisfaction and burnout. This is leading to higher inpatient mortality and poor healthcare and wellbeing. In an ideal scenario the nurse to patient ratio should be equal but that is very difficult to achieve due to various reasons, but at least the ratio should be close enough, so as to provide efficient healthcare. This would also help to monitor and reduce the mortality rates and increase the quality of healthcare in the region.
