A popular Youtube sensation is a group known as "Dude Perfect". These guys are crazy, but lots of fun. Watch the video linked below that shows a Dude Perfect segment where they demonstrate pool table trick shots.

Momentum is the quantity of motion that an object has while in motion. There are two types of momentum, linear momentum and angular momentum. In a normal shot, the linear momentum is used. In a trick shot, angular momentum plays a great role.  Momentum depends on the force applied on an object. In a normal shot, there is no momentum just before the shot, but on application of a linear force,  linear momentum is achieved. The momentum, in case of a linear shot is usually consistent and the angles are limited.
