Assessment task 1-group presentation
Task description
Students will be assigned a group of 3 randomly.
Each group, will be assigned one of the specific targets of the 'Sustainable Development Goals' to form the basis of their presentation.
Each group will provide a 15 minute oral presentation.
Each individual will provide a written critique of 2 other group presentations (300 words total per individual).
Group oral presentation
Your group will be allocated to give the oral presentation in either week 5, 6 or 7 during the usual workshop. The oral presentation is to last a
total of 15 minutes and all group members are expected to speak.
In their oral presentation the group will:
1. Outline the SDG target and the health issue(s) it is addressing.
(If the target addresses multiple issues, choose one or two that you will cover in the oral presentation and make it clear to the audience at the start
of the presentation that you are not covering all issues being addressed by the target).
2. Compare the severity of the health issue(s) that is being addressed across the world (e.g use data such as trends, burden of disease).
3. Outline the main underlying determinants of the health issue(s) being addressed.
4. Describe and critique any policies, programmes or other interventions which are already in place to tackle this health issue.
5. Provide an update on progress to address the health issue.
6. Outline the main ba
iers to addressing this health issue.
7. Provide recommendations about what could be done to address the health issue more effectively.
8. Provide a reference list.
Presentations can take a variety of forms (power point presentation, prezi, panel discussion etc.).
The presentation (including recommendations) should be based on evidence and should be referenced throughout. There should also be a final
slide which lists all your references in APA 6 format.
Each group member needs to demonstrate team work and contribution, so all group members are expected to present and contribute to the final
presentation.
Critique
Due September 16th at midday.
Each individual must provide a written critique of 2 other group oral presentations. You must critique the content, the presentation style and
make suggestions as to how the presentation could be improved (especially content).
The combined critique should be 300 words (approximately 150 words per presentation that is being critiqued).
Please use 'word' format.
Suggestions to bear in mind when writing the critique:
Does it cover the topic comprehensively and clearly?
Is there good supportive evidence?
Was the presentation engaging with appropriate use of audiovisual material?

How could it be improved (e.g. you may wish to comment on content, use of evidence, presentation)?

Likewise, as supported by World Health Organization, that approximately 32 million pregnant women suffers from anaemia globally, 19 million suffer from vitamin A deficiency while millions other suffer from lack of zinc, folate or iodine (World Health Organization, 2015).

· Cu
ently there are no existing policies in Australia to address the prevailing issue of malnutrition.
· 28000 deaths (almost 18%) were reported in 2015 due to poor diet in Australia.
· Non-adherence to Australian Dietary Guidelines is a major ba
ier in eradiation of malnutrition.
· Overconsumption and food wastage affects the supply of food for malnutrition population.
