In the present business environment, it is essential for the organisation to understand the cultural differences and similarities of the countries where they operate. This focuses to analyse the cultural dimensions of Luxembourg, India and Japan using Hofstede's framework. Additionally, the discussion will also focus on the Arcelor Mittal's motivation to be acquired by Mittal and Mittal's motivation to merge with Arcelor.
Cultural Dimension Framework
Hofstede's cultural dimensions Framework is useful tool for analysing the cultural differences between the countries. The framework identifies six dimensions: power distance, individualism versus collectivism, masculinity versus femineity, uncertainty vs avoidance, long term orientation and indulgence versus restraint.
