Part 1: Year-End Scorecard for McGaran
Complete Citibank Performance Evaluation Exhibit 1 (McGaran’s year-end Performance Scorecard) and submit italongwith your write up(See Part 2 below) no later thanTuesday, May 3at 8 pm.
All you have to do is mark one of the Below Par/Par/Above Par boxes in each category of McGaran’s year-end Scorecard and put your name where it says, “Signed by Area Manager” (or at least somewhere on the page). Note that the correct box to check may not be an easy choice, but you must choose one and then you will have a chance to explain your decision in the paper (see below).
Part 2: Paper of at least 2 Pages
Before 8pm on class day May 3, you will submit a Word or PDF documentalong with the completed Performance Scorecardin Canvas.Email submissions to my TAs or me will not be accepted. Late submissions will not be accepted and there is no “make-up assignment” procedure for this assignment.
Answer the questions below, presenting your thoughts in not more than 3 pages. In preparing your paper, please follow approximately these guidelines: single spaced, 1” margins, Times Roman (or similar) 12-point font. Put your name at the top; there is no cover page required.
In your paper, please address the following:
1. Describe Citibank’s bonus structure and the role of the Performance Scorecard.
2. What par rating did you assign to McGaran for Customer Satisfaction, and why?
3. What par rating did you assign to McGaran for Overall Evaluation, and why?
4. If your rating decisions were followed at Citibank, what subsequent events or repercussions (good and bad) do you anticipate for Citibank?
