As per the observation of the chapter, the entering of United States into World War I was not intentional; it was the outcome of the commercial credit loan given to the allied armies of Europe or rather, to the nations that were involved in war that raged anger and resentment in Germany. The primal focus of German military was to gain dominance over the European political scene as well as on its economy. However, as they were winning the battlefronts, the financial support that United States gave to opposing forces of Germany caused Zimmermann, the German diplomat, to ‘intervene’ with the internal matters of United States with Mexico.
