Research can be termed as creating new knowledge and using the existing knowledge in a creative manner to develop new methodologies and outcomes (AIATSIS, 2018). The standard codes of ethics for Nursing the Aboriginal people offers a legal and ethical framework to protect these communities from unethical practices and facilitate maximum participation of indigenous people in their own care. Since colonisation, the Aboriginal people have faced various unethical behaviours. The researchers enter the lives of indigenous people for shorter span of time, collecting and taking away the data, with no further contact with them. It develops mistrust for the researchers in the minds of indigenous people.
