Australia and Pacific Islands are mostly surrounded by the water bodies. Due to isolation from the world, the species of plants and animals found in these areas are endemic. Australia and Pacific Islands are rich in flora and fauna due to favorable climate and both have mountain ranges formed due to movement of tectonic plates. These islands are surround by water bodies, along with low islands made up of corals are found in these areas.
More than one hundred ten endemic species of birds are found in these areas. Climatic changes driven by ocean currents affect these areas at a larger scale because water bodies surround these areas.
Australia and Pacific Islands share some of the similarities with respect to trade such as, countries for import and export of good such as China and Japan (Australian Government). The common factor, which contributed in the overall growth of economy of these countries, is industrial sector. Both the areas face the problem of illegal immigration. It stops the growth of native individual, and hence decreases the annual growth of the country.
Both share some cultural similarities such as unifying people, which can be observed at both regional and national level. Consolidation of the power takes place in these unified groups.
