Why do you believe that funding preventative healthcare service has taken so long to become a major component of health plan?

The complexity in the healthcare industry is never a simple one and there is never a simple solution to the problem of rising cost. In the early years, preventative healthcare funding took a long time to become a major component of health plan because of politics. Government is aware that healthcare can be less expensive if funding is put in place to subsidize cost, but there are many barriers that causes the delay in this funding. Again, because of the politics involve in getting this done within a reasonable time. The politicians from both oppositions has tried tirelessly to reach an agreement to allocate funding for a reasonable healthcare plan, but there were a few factors that contribute to the halt on the decision. Some of the factors that causes the delay are, bureaucratic politics, budget politics, and external politics.

Bureaucratic politics, politicians have always used politics to determine individual’s way of life; the decision making between government always seem to benefit them as they often think only of themselves or the elite. The minorities are never taken into consideration. Funding to preventative healthcare will not benefits politician because they can afford to pay for their own care. Budget politic;even though care is a human right(Fox,2019), the confusion of how taxpayer’s money would help is constantly opposed by these politicians and as such the decision for funding will always withdraw from the budget. The opposition always seem to oppose the decision made by one party, ensuring that the funding for preventative healthcare get thrown out without any consideration. Another, factor is external politics, even though third-party players are never part of the decision making, as politicians would want us to think, they often have a major influence on the funding of healthcare, this decision is often trigger by who and how this will affect them in the long run. External politics has often driven the decision making of most politicians because how they benefit from these third-party players, often contribute to the final decision. Hence, the delay.

Healthcare cost could have been less expensive in the pass if funding were made available to subsidize the cost. (Fox, XXXXXXXXXXGovernment seem to have always find a way to make everything political, because their motive is often how they can help themselves and the big corporation, and often looking at how they will possibly benefit from not giving funding to preventative care. The more successful these corporations are the more they benefit, so funding for healthcare to help the minorities is never at the forefront of most politician mind.

Why do you believe that funding preventive health care services has taken so long to become a major component of health plans?

There are more people getting sick and more diseases than there has ever been, obesity, HIV, diabetes and many other diseases leading to major sicknesses and the funding is given out sporadically and it is costly for health insurance to cover so many people and their sicknesses. When the Affordable Care Act was signed by President Obama it made a difference in a major way, but there are still co-payments and not everyone signed up for the care or can afford the cost. We learned that with the Covid-19, when its target was among most African Americans with underlying illnesses who does not see a doctor regularly. I work with youth who have never seen a doctor outside of the youth detention center; when I do the medical assessment on them, 9 out of 10 ranging from 11-17 years old; have never seen a doctor but have gone to the ER for emergencies.

The U.S. spends twice as much money in healthcare than other states (American Health Care, XXXXXXXXXXWith the Affordable Healthcare Act the thought would be we would be better off, but with the healthcare the cost must come from somewhere. In an earlier post I stated people with no job who are getting these free services like Medicaid/Aetna, the cost is 0% out of pocket, but working for the government my insurance does not cover the services rendered or 100% of the prescriptions. I believe politics or the government, when deciding who gets how much funding looks at how much healthcare funding was used in the prior year, they then try to come up with a way to lower the cost by eliminating something else or adding to it. The solution is always to raise taxes from the working society to pay for healthcare and raising the healthcare cost for the working society.

Why do you believe that funding preventative healthcare services has taken so long to become a major component of the health plan?
I believe that the healthcare reforms have taken an evolutionary path to becoming accessible and affordable for the general public. Preventive care is now a major part of the healthcare plans in recent years; however, the scenario was different in the last decades. The healthcare growth and the delivery of quality healthcare services have become possible due to the security assurance provided by insurance companies (CRFB, 2018). From this, I mean that contemporary medicines, advancements in medical technology and the generation of numerous polices have reformed the healthcare industry. The lack of expensive medical scans and the knowledge of disease preventions were unknown in earlier days, but with an effective health plan, the progress of medical technology is evident. However, the decreased mortality rate has driven the hospital expenses significantly and thus; the healthcare sector is focused to generate effective funding to pull up the excess cost. Thus, the need for preventive treatment has...
