Abstract
Competition is a very necessary aspect that is required within the market in order to induce growth. However, in order to withstand the competition organizations and companies develop specific strategies such as marketing of the product and services and healthcare sector is not an exception. Dynamic nature of market had forced the OSF healthcare group to introduce some of the marketing campaigns in order to promote their services within the existing as well as new customers. This assignment evaluates one such campaign initiated by the organization along with the recommendations and provisions that may be needed.
Target Market and Objective of Marketing Campaign
OSF healthcare is a healthcare service provider that has number of hospitals within Illinois as wells as Michigan. OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center located in Rockford, Illinois is a 250 plus bed hospital and healthcare service provider (OSF HealthCare, 2019). It belongs to a larger and an integrated healthcare organization that is the OSF healthcare. The target market for this organization are the people living within the area, and therefore, it provides almost all kinds of medical services and healthcare.
However, as argued by Radu et al. (2017), due to increased competitors and dominating headlines with the mention of mergers and building expansions forced OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center to develop an authentic and unique marketing campaign in order to promote and distribute their services. ‘A Higher Power of Health’, was the resulting campaign started by this organization in collaboration with the Chartwell Agency.
This campaign was initiated in order to provide a solid foundation upon which the healthcare organization could grow and created an excellent platform in order to share the OSF’s reputation along with the compassionate care and innovation....
