Various Factors Related to Sharing Information to Different Cultural Needs in UK Communities
Through the overview of the case study, it is recognised that Ma
y is hiding information regarding the health issues that her husband Ted is facing. This process shows that the health issues of Ted were hidden from communities. This process was analysed that in every aspect, Mary needed to share information under the cultural needs of sharing information in the UK. Within this context, it can be mentioned Mary needs to share information regarding her husband’s health issues to the volunteer bus driver.
With the sharing of those issues, bus drivers can help Mary to offer proper care to her husband in case of travelling through a bus. It shows that Mary need not to hide the health issues that her husband is facing due to the cultural needs of healthcare. It clearly shows the importance of sharing information regarding the health issues of a person to take proper care from the volunteers or care providers of healthcare (Chandran and Alammari, 2020). With the sharing process of information to the volunteer bus driver, Mary can get better placement for her husband on the bus.
That might allow Mary to take her husband as her fellow companion in her shopping time. Instead of conveying the real fact to the bus driver Mary shares wrong information with that volunteer. In that case, the volunteer bus driver examined the cultural needs of sharing proper information as he observed the health condition of Mary is not well (Baghirathan et al. 2020). Mary loses her weight and talks about hard things. If she tells about the real fact to the volunteer, her cultural beads of information sharing can be maintained. This would allow Mary to take care of her health with delivery of a special treatment method to her husband based on his issues.
On the other hand, it is noticed that in the case of the
oken condition of the bus, Ted had been tied to the chair and he stayed in that position for many hours. This situation defines the cultural need for sharing information. In that case, if Mary shares proper information regarding the health issues of Ted, the volunteer team can offer medical attention to Ted. This process would help Ted to take proper care in that accidental situation. It will allow him to get rid of that adverse situation with the adoption of care services from doctors or volunteers.
This scenario also showed the careless attitude of Mary in case of sharing proper information to the doctor. Within that context, she lied to the doctor when Ted was admitted to the hospital for his treatment after the
eakdown of the bus (Katrini, 2018). It clearly denoted that sharing information with the doctors regarding the health issues of the patients is one of the most significant cultural needs. Presence of clear information regarding the health issues of the patients can help doctors to offer effective care to the service users.
In other contexts, the lack of information about the health issues of the patients can create misguidance to the doctor for offering health care. Not only that but based on healthcare needs, Mary was advised to take some company from the community centres to take care of Ted at the time of her shopping. Instead of taking that care services from the community centre, Mary denied taking the company from the centre (Thomas et al. 2017). Lack of adoption of proper care services from the community centre examined the cultural need of sharing information on Ted in the UK.
Based on the issues that Mary faced with Ted, the volunteer reported this information to the manager. The manager of the community centre tried to offer care to Ted and Mary for managing their healthy lifestyle. In that case, they are not sharing information regarding the care assessment services with Mary and that creates the cultural need for sharing information. In that context, the management team of the community centre must share information regarding the care process that they would offer to Ted for taking this proper care.
Lack of adoption of concern from Mary about the healthcare of Ted can create legal issues based on the rules and regulation of healthcare in the UK (Nguyen, 2019). On this purpose, the special care assessment team of the community centre must convey the overall care process in front of Mary. It will help them to meet the cultural need of sharing information and maintain ethical considerations within their operations. Moreover, within that situation, Mary should offer her concern to take care of the health service team. This process will offer support to Ted and Mary from the practical as well as emotional ways to make the safe distance from the serious harms.
Perceiving Information Sharing as Cultural Issue and its Impact on Healthcare Delivery
Sharing process of different information is defined as the cultural issues as in healthcare organisations, there is the presence of people who came from diverse cultural backgrounds. Within this context, it can be mentioned that different healthcare organisations are fowling multiple cultural backgrounds within their organisational operations. Presence of differentiation in the cultural context of the organisation offers issues in the sharing of information. It examines that in the healthcare centre, there is the presence of cross-cultural backgrounds (Passerini, Osatuyi and Stipe, 2020).
This process creates ba
iers among employees or healthcare experts and service users to share information with others in the same organisational structure. Due to the presence of the cultural ba
iers among the employees, they are not collaborating with others at the time of performing team works or offering developed care to the patients. In that case, it can be mentioned that the different communities are using different styles for their communication. Presence of differentiation between communities for communication offers issues to exchange information with other communities and care providers. It seems to be the cultural ba
iers in the information sharing process and can create issues at the time of offering developed care to the patients according to medical history.
On this purpose, it can be added that the presence of cultural ba
iers between the patients and the services users is catering gaps at the time of keeping records of the health issues. Lack of a proper recording system in the medical records of patients due to the ineffective information sharing delivers issues to the physicians to introduce effective treatment to the patients for their health issues. In many cases, it is noticed that sharing the process of detailed information of the patients with the care providers creates cultural ba
iers. If the cultural background of the patient and the service users were different from each other, it created ba
iers in the care process (Gvili and Levy, 2019).
Within this context, service providers of healthcare are unwilling to offer care services to the other community people who belong from different cultures. Within the healthcare services, data was collected based on the information that is shared by the patients or their family members. In that case, family members of the patients cannot communicate with the healthcare experts and that offers hindrance in front of the experts to recognise the health issues of the patient. It defines the cross-cultural collaboration issues that can be created in the healthcare services due to the presence of cultural ba
iers.
Presence of cultural issues in the healthcare services delivers hindrance in the developed care services of the patients. In that case, it can be added that the cultural ba
iers among the healthcare professionals created issues at the time of sharing information about the patient. This process would offer hindrance in front of the experts to apply developed treatment to the patient for the betterment of health issues. On this purpose, healthcare professionals might not be able to deliver their expert care to the patients due to the lack of prices of information regarding the issues that they are facing in their health (de Kervenoael et al. 2020).
In many cases, it is noticed that the presence of cross-cultural backgrounds in healthcare organisations also creates cultural ba
iers. It defines that communication gaps are observed in the...
