Task 1:
Given: RF output power- High power version=20dBm,
Tx RF Branching loss Lctx=2dB,
Gatx=35dBi,
RX RF Branching loss Lcrx=2dB,
Garx=2dB
Hence, FSL comes out to be : 4d
Now RSL can be calculated as: P0-Lctx+Gatx-Lcrx+Garx-FSL
So, RSL=20-2+35-2+2-4
RSL=49 dB
2) Passive Repeater in this System:-
A Passive Repeater is a reflective or refractive panel that assists in closing a microwave link in places where an obstacle blocks a direct path. It can have a parabolic antenna and it deflects in vertical level. The structure formed is that of a billboard. It can be used also for TV relay transmitters or as tunnel transmitters. The transmitted signal is received by the antenna and then forwarded to the second antenna by means of a co-axial cable.
