If you follow these directions, the test should go smoothly. Further, if for any reason you are logged out of the test, contact me in the IF. I will only reassign, if I feel the test was a technical issue on your part. Please do not hit the "Back Button" to go back, only select the "Number" you would like to revert back to!!
Review Stevens’ model of measurement scales and be able to identify why you chose the scale of your choice. Please ensure you are able to distinguish one from the other, i.e. ratio, interval, nominal and ordinal…Study!!!!Please indicate the type of nonexperimental approach which would be most useful and explain why. The student must demonstrate with claritywhat makes sense about the approach and why. Here are a few examples below:Examples (What approach is most useful and the student needs to indicate why)
A psychologist studying people eating at a restaurant.
A psychologist watching groups of teenagers interact.
Determining whether a client has improved upon his sleeping disorder
3. Review what happens when designing survey questions, how would you control the response styles, i.e. “willingness to answer” and there are a couple more?
4. Review the correlation coefficients, the positive and negative correlations involved with each. Be able to tell me what are some problems with these conclusions? For example- Researcher Angela Bassett found a correlation coefficient of +3.4 between variables X and Y. Bassett is thrilled because that correlation is “very high.” She also feels that this answer “proves that X is pretty much, causing Y.”
5. Review when is it appropriate for a researcher to use deception in a research study… (See APA). Make sure you read up on this, there are a couple other things I will ask about Deception.
