Alice walker is one of the most influential and world-famous writer and activist, belonging form the African American society. She is best known for her contribution to the civil rights and feminists movements. She was born on Fe
uary 9. 1944 and is one of the most prolific modern writers. She is the youngest among the eight children to her parents. She belonged from a poor family with her father being a sharecropper and her mother working as maid to support the family (Griffiths, 293-300).
