Use the Student Engagement Dataset for this exercise
1. We are interested in investigating which variables are good predictors of students’ satisfaction with attending CHS. ?
a. Click on Analyze\Regression\Linea
. Move the variable, “Overall, I like being at CHS” into the Dependent box
c. Move all the variables, starting with “I have a good relationship with one or more teachers” through “I try to connect what I am studying in class to what I already know” into the Independent(s) box.
d. Under Method, keep the Default as “Enter”.
e. Under Options, click on the “Replace with Mean” box. Click Continue.
f. Click on Continue, then OK
2. Using the output, answer the following questions:
a. How well collectively do the independent variables predict the dependent variable (Overall, I like being at CHS?) _________________
. Which independent variable is the most significant predictor? ________________
c. How would you report the significance level of the model? __________________
d. Select any of the significant predictors and interpret/explain the meaning of the positive Beta. (Use the space below to write/type your response.
